Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleHawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is searching for consultant anaesthetists to join our cohesive, friendly and supportive team.The successful candidates would join a team of around 30 anaesthetic SMOs and 11 anaesthesia trainees to enhance the Anaesthetic Department according to their training and experience, and would also participate in the out-of-hours service. We have a collegial work environment with a range of surgical and medical specialties serving a diverse patient population.We are committed to ongoing education and improvement of our service and actively support junior staff and interdisciplinary team education. It is a large, secondary level, 400-bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 176,000 people. The work of the Department is varied and often challenging.Hawke's Bay has experienced significant population growth and demographic changes over the last ten years. A wide range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services are offered and we have outgrown many of our facilities and now require considerable expansion.
