These are great opportunities to enjoy work and an enviable lifestyle in the wonderful Hawke's Bay.The successful candidates would join a team of around 30 anaesthetic SMOs and 11 anaesthesia trainees to enhance the Anaesthetic Department according to their training and experience, and would also participate in the out-of-hours service. We have a collegial work environment with a range of surgical and medical specialties serving a diverse patient population. We are committed to ongoing education and improvement of our service and actively support junior staff and interdisciplinary team education. The Department is approved by ANZCA for 2 years of vocational training in anaesthesia.Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is situated in Hastings on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is a large, secondary level, 400-bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 176,000 people.
