With a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.About the roleThe Anaesthetic Technician is responsible for planning and preparing the anaesthetic environment according to patient, anaesthetic and surgical requirements.You will also:assist the anaesthetist during proceduresanticipate any problemscoordinate documentation to ensure the appropriate person has the information required for smooth and effective care of the patientmaintain sterile fieldsmaintain adequate stocks of necessary equipment, pharmaceuticals and consumables for anaesthetic procedures.This is a permanent position for 80 hours per fortnight and is located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.About youAs the Anaesthetic Technician, you will be professional, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have excellent communication skills and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:Registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New ZealandSound knowledge and understanding in relation to anaesthetic equipment and anaesthesiaExcellent written and oral communicationBe a team playerLeading through our valuesWe are a values-driven organisation.
