Kiwi Health Jobs – Queenstown, South IslandCentral Otago Health Services Ltd / Dunstan Hospital, Central Otago is seeking an energetic and adaptable Allied Health Services Leader (0.6FTE) based at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde, Central Otago.This role is responsible for leading high quality allied health services, with a focus on delivering coordinated care across clinical areas, presenting an exciting opportunity to make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of our Central Otago communities.The Allied Health Service Leader is responsible for the Kaiawhina, Clinical Needs Assessment, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, and Speech Language Therapy services.The Allied Health Service Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff and resources within the Allied Health team including human resource management, quality and risk management, people and team development, and supporting service delivery improvements and model of care changes. The key responsibilities are to provide operational leadership and support and create an environment in which clinical skills and high standards of care are developed and maintained with the goal of providing quality person and whanau centred care.The role reports to the Allied Health Director, and you will be expected to provide regular reports on progress toward key deliverables, as well as monitoring and appropriate escalation of risks and issues.To be successful in this position you will:Be a registered Health Professional.Be knowledgeable of professional Allied Health practice issues.Be committed to upholding Te Tiriti principles and obligations.Have strong relationship and leadership skills.Be people focused with skills in developing high functioning teams.Be an excellent active listener with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences.Able to work collaboratively with all clinical disciplines.The successful applicant will also be required to have competent computer skills and a current driving licence.The salary for this role will be $119,000 - $124,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.Please apply with an application form, cover letter and CV (including 2 referees) to the HR Administrator: Email: ****** date for applications is 5pm Wednesday 16th October 2024.
