Our Organisation Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
We are looking for an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join us within the Post-Acute Community Rehabilitation Service (PACR) team.
About the service: The Post-Acute Community Rehabilitation Service (PACR) is a collective of services primarily dedicated to supporting clients immediately post their acute care episode.
What is the role about? You will be required to work under the direction of registered Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech Language Therapists providing clinical support and assistance to the stroke rehabilitation team when required.
The tasks of these positions are many and varied and include undertaking occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech interventions with clients under their direction in the community.
