The details: Permanent part-time – 32 hours per week, shifts cover working every second Saturday and Sunday.

About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to come and join the Waikato District, working at Waikato Hospital. This position provides support to both the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team. The role will involve supervising patients to go through their exercise programme as prescribed by a qualified Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist. You will also be helping patients to regain their independence with activities of daily living following medical illness/surgery, ordering of equipment such as walking aids and ADL equipment, and educating patients on its use, as well as assisting occupational therapists and physiotherapists with patient manual handling.
