Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to work as an integral member of the team. You will be working with patients, their whanau and staff in a community setting to carry out tasks under the delegation of Allied Health staff.
The work involves tasks such as:
Supervising patients to go through their exercise/therapy programme as prescribed by a qualified physiotherapist.Helping patients to regain their independence with activities of daily living following medical illness/surgery.Cleaning, issuing, restocking/ordering of equipment such as walking aids and exercise equipment.Perform administrative tasks to support the running of the service.Orientation and on the job training will be provided.
