If you are a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or have a DAPAANZ registration with proven experience in Alcohol and other Drugs and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, then we would like to hear from you. You will play a vital role in the delivery of care to people who are most severely affected by mental illness and/or addiction in our Hastings community.About the Team/Service/LocationOur team consists of addictions clinicians, registered nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, medical officers, community support workers, and an administrative team, all with a passion for supporting our community living with mental health and addiction issues. Our team is dedicated to working with people to enhance their recovery from conditions such as alcohol and substance abuse issues and co-existing conditions including psychotic disorders, severe personality disorders, severe anxiety disorders, and major depression.About YouTo be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following key qualities:Current DAPANNZ registration or registration in Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy with proven experience in addiction and other drug issues.An effective communicator who can work alongside people to facilitate and enable recovery and resilience skills.Highly motivated to make a difference and able to provide support, encouragement, and motivation to engage with people in recovery.Ability to advocate for patients and whanau and work in collaboration with clients, whanau, and staff.Cultural awareness and the ability to incorporate this into your practice.A can-do attitude to maximise recovery for our Hastings community.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
