Details of the offer

AOD Clinician - Amokaiora, Te Atea Marino, Central - Te Whatu Ora Waitemata

Permanent and Fixed-term position Full-time (1 FTE / 80 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday Location: New North Road, Kingsland We have a great opportunity for talented, funny, and awe-inspiring Alcohol and Drug counsellors (any ethnicity) to join our whanau at Te Atea Marino.

Te Atea Marino is a Regional Maori Addiction Service, operating under the umbrella of Whitiki Maurea, part of the Waitemata District's Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Group.

We are a down-to-earth, close-knit, small, but supportive bunch, who care about each other and go the extra mile when needed. We believe laughter and shared kai are good foundations to ensure we are ready to meet the challenges we all face in an ever-changing workplace environment.

We really love what we do in our service and with our whaiora. We would welcome more like-minded people to join us to reduce the burden of addiction and addiction-related harm on the Maori people of Tamaki-Makaurau.

You don't have to speak Te reo Maori, but you require an understanding and commitment to the principles of the Tiriti O Waitangi (partnership, protection, participation) and the importance of Whare Tapa Wha, the 4 cornerstones of health: te taha wairua (spiritual aspects), te taha hinegaro (mental and emotional aspects), te taha whanau (family and community aspects), and te taha tinana (physical aspects).

This is an opportunity to experience the support of working in a clinical yet culturally minded team. You will be welcomed warmly by all of our team members, including senior staff, and you will learn how a tikanga approach meets the needs of tangata whai i te ora and whanau.

We are a service in transformation and change. We have full-time positions in our Central Team at 409 New North Rd, Kingsland.

About You We are calling out to people of passion who have:
