Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe AIR Coordinator will support timely and accurate data record related to the provision of childhood and adult immunisations. This role will:Ensure that AIR provides an accurate record of immunisations and is used as an effective planning tool to improve immunisation coverage.Achievement of health targets and Southern performance expectations with an equity focus.Ensure effective district day to day co-ordination of the AIR.You will be responsible for promoting excellence aligned to high quality administration processes and systems.About the Team/Service/LocationHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. We take pride in all the services we provide, and our aim is to improve, promote and protect the health of our region.About youYou must be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, who has a high attention to detail. Our ideal candidate needs to be able to prioritise and juggle tasks, within demanding timeframes.You will have at least two years administrative experience ideally within the healthcare sector. You will be an experienced administrator who works well in a team environment with the ability to foster good interpersonal relationships.Our successful applicant will have:Administration and team lead or project coordination experience.Experience working in NIR or AIR and the complexity around data management.Excellent computer skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.The ability to learn quickly.Outstanding organisation and time management skills.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.How to ApplyTo view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
