Job Description Roger Gill Agriculture is a family business and has been selling New and Used Agricultural Equipment including Tractors, Balers, Mowers, and other Farm Machinery to the Auckland & North Waikato region for a number of years. We are dealers for Cash IH, New Holland, Kuhn, and other brands, and have branches in Pukekohe & Huntly, operating full parts and service facilities for all Makes & Brands of Agriculture Machinery.
We have a new branch opening in Whangarei and are looking for an experienced Tractor & Agricultural Field Service Technician.
Key Responsibilities: As a Field Service Technician for Roger Gill Agriculture, you will work on a wide range of equipment from compact tractors to 300 plus HP tractors, as well as Silage and Tillage equipment, both in our workshop and out in the field. Responsibilities include:
Carrying out scheduled servicing and repairs.
Diagnosing electronic faults using the latest diagnostic technology.
Performing transmission and differential rebuilds.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Experience in electronics.
Ability to think outside the box.
Teamwork capability.
Productivity and efficiency in the workshop and field.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow knowledge.
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants for this position will have:
Your own comprehensive set of tools.
NZ residency.
A Forklift license and F endorsement (Class 2 and Wheels endorsement would be beneficial, but not essential).
Working Conditions: The position is full-time and permanent, working Monday to Friday from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (with an hour for lunch), plus on-call as rostered (with possible weekend work). You will work a minimum of 42.5 hours per week.
Depending on your skills and experience, the hourly rate for the position ranges from $30 per hour to $42.50 per hour, equating to an annual wage range of between $66,300 to $93,925 (excluding any overtime hours). During the busier spring/summer months, you will also be scheduled on an on-call roster and paid an allowance of $100 per week.
