About the role This is a sales and customer relationship role, where you'll work closely with customers on-farm to understand their goals and challenges, and provide them with data-driven solutions to add value to their farms.
The role is responsible for a territory in the South/Mid Canterbury Area, encompassing Hinds to Timaru.
There is huge opportunity within this region, and you will be well supported to achieve great results.
Key focus areas include: Successful implementation of LIC solutions and the achievement of sales targets in your area.
Maximising relationships with existing customers, and actively build relationships with new customers.
Identifying new business opportunities with existing and new customers.
Undertaking educational and promotional initiatives with farmers.
About You Our ideal candidate will have a farming background or sound knowledge in farming, ideally within Dairy.
You'll understand and empathise with the unique challenges our farmers face, and easily build trust and credibility with them.
As this is a sales role, a background gained in relationship management, sales, or customer-facing roles is required.
You'll be able to use data and insights to have effective herd improvement discussions and be planned and well-prepared for your customer visits.
You'll also demonstrate: Strong self-motivation and ability to work autonomously and proactively manage your day.
Be results-focused with a track record of achieving great sales results.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, internally and externally.
Great problem-solving skills and ability to match solutions to customers.
Confident and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
A tertiary qualification in this field is advantageous as well as prior experience selling using the sales discovery process.
