If you have a compassionate nature and experience in caring for the elderly we would be happy to receive your application. Ideally we are looking for a highly flexible person who is prepared to learn and undertake all shifts as required or rostered.
The pay band for this role is $28.25 per hour based on Level 4 pay equity rates, with minimum of 30 hours of work per week offered. Our staff rosters run across a 24/7 shift pattern and you must be available to perform any rostered shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Essential Skills we are looking for:
- Work collaboratively to support the health and wellbeing of a person with complex needs
- Safely, efficiently and effectively deliver care by prioritising attendance to resident's needs and delivering the best care possible according to duty schedules, and the Nursing Procedure Manual.
- Ensure that all routine cares are delivered as per resident's care plans including, showering, dressing, mobilising, grooming, nutritional assistance
- Undertaking required cleaning and hygiene support duties maintaining good infection control principles
- There is an obligation of all staff to observe privacy, dignity, comfort and confidentiality of residents
- Comply with relevant policies
- Keep confidential all facility business
- Be a good communicator with residents and staff. Observe and report any changes in the resident's condition and vital signs.
- Complete relevant documentation for residents including contributing to care plans and incident reports.
- Other duties as required to care for residents and comply with procedures
Applicants for this role must hold a relevant aged / health care qualification such as a Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent) to qualify for $28.25/hour.
Applicants holding at least 3 years' work experience may be considered, however may have a different rating on the pay equity scale.
Applicants may be required to complete police checks and drug screening.
