Advisor Waste Minimisation

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role. As a member of the Council infrastructure team, the Waste Minimisation Advisor will be responsible for developing and delivering waste minimisation programs as required by the regional Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (2023-2029), implementing the Solid Waste Bylaw (2021), supporting waste minimisation strategy development and promoting sustainable waste management practices. Appointment to Advisor or Senior Advisor will be made pending skills and experience.
To be successful in this role you will have: a related professional qualification or tertiary qualification, however consideration will be given to sufficient relevant working experienceexperience working in waste management and minimisation is preferreddemonstrated effective communication skills, both written and oraldemonstrated environmental awareness combined with a pragmatic approach to implementing viable waste minimisation initiativesdemonstrated analytical skillsdata collection and administration skillsa current and valid NZ driver's licence.Full-time, permanent role.
