About this roleThe primary purpose of the role is to support the strategic position of Te Wananga o Aotearoa as a significant provider of vocational pathways for youth within the New Zealand Education system, by supporting the delivery of Secondary Tertiary Programmes and STAR Short Courses in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland).Role details:Title: Advisor - School Services TransitionsRole: Permanent Full TimeLocation: Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland)Hours: 37.5 hours per weekDays: Monday - FridayAs an Advisor - School Services Transitions, you will:Support the Team Leader School Services and National Lead Youth Pathways and TransitionsPlay a key part in building and maintaining relationships and communicating effectively with secondary school and kura kaupapa Maori tauira and stakeholdersSupport the development of meaningful pathways for Te Wananga o Aotearoa to increase the number of youth engaging in study and vocational trainingAbout you:We are looking for someone who has the following:Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Youth Work, Bachelor of Youth Development or equivalent experience5+ years proven experience in office management / administration and customer serviceSecondary-Tertiary programme support, Tertiary transitions and Youth Development experiencePrepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and ahuatanga Maori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavourFull clean New Zealand Drivers LicenceAs a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.Apply today!Have we outlined a role that matches your capabilities and aspirations, and a workplace that appeals?
