We invite you to join Auckland Council's Community Partnerships and Investment team of eight, as an Advisor Community Safety Outcomes.
This role is pivotal in delivering the City Centre Community Safety Action Plan, ensuring evidence-based and transparent outcomes that enhance the safety and wellbeing of those living, working, or visiting the city centre.
He angitutanga: The opportunity This is a part-time, 32-hour role, based in Auckland City Centre, with flexible working options.
This is a fixed-term opportunity until June 2026.
Day to day, your responsibilities will look like: Conducting comprehensive data analysis to provide impactful insights for community safety initiatives.
Developing and maintaining a safety data dashboard to effectively communicate insights.
Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance data collection and storytelling efforts.
Ensuring compliance with relevant data handling policies and regulations.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and promoting health and safety practices.

He korero mou: About you We are looking for a dedicated professional with a background in community safety, public policy or a related field, who can demonstrate the following: Professional Experience : 5+ years in community safety, public policy, or a related field, with a strong analytical background.
Educational Background : A bachelor's degree in business, business analytics, data science, criminology, or a related discipline.
Analytical Skills : Proficient in data management and analysis, with a keen attention to detail.
Communication Skills : Ability to convey data insights clearly and engage positively with stakeholders.
Organisational Skills : Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to changing priorities in a political environment.
Project Management : Qualifications in project or programme management are desirable.
