0.6FTE (24 hours per week) Permanent position for a NZ Registered Dietitian with a current APC Role is Based at Christchurch Campus Hours of work are between 8am - 4:30pm, days to be negotiated Mo te tunga About the role Nutrition and Dietetics are seeking an Advanced Professional Dietitian to clinically lead the Women's Health Team on the Christchurch Health Campus. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your clinical experience and people leadership to this Designated role where you will participate in training and development of staff including supervision, making sound judgements in complex cases as well as quality improvement activities, Service and policy development.

The focus of this role is women's health in pregnancy, particularly management of diabetes in pregnancy and hyperemesis gravidarum. The role will provide clinical leadership and oversight of the women's health dietitians which includes the dietitian led gestational diabetes pathway and supporting those with hyperemesis gravidarum through oral and enteral nutrition.

Ko wai koe About You In this role you will be responsible for:

Manage a clinical case load. Make judgements in complex situations where there is incomplete information or solutions are not obvious. Provide professional leadership and supervision of clinical activity and practice across all aspects of Women's Health Dietetics. Undertake service and policy development and quality improvement activities as part of the role including audits, research and projects. Lead and support professional development, skill sharing and positive practice. Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and Experience Your skills will include:

A drive to ensure best health outcomes for people with nutrition related disorders. The ability to work within a team and contribute to the provision of quality care within the service. Self-motivated, organised and enjoy a challenge. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships with patients and other people within the service. Minimum 5 years of clinical practice with at least 3 of those years of clinical work experience within Women's Health Dietetics. Experience with clinical teaching / supervision, training and development of staff. Demonstrated decision making particularly in complex situations. Experience in people leadership and/or management. We are looking for a self-motivated dietitian who enjoys a challenge, enjoys innovation and applies health improvement models to practice.
