We are looking for an advanced Onsite Desktop Technician or Advanced Onsite Desktop Technician to join our digital workplace services team in Wellington CBD on site.
In this role, you will be aligned to our customers' business requirements, enabling tailored maintenance services and supporting infrastructure services across multiple technology streams including Hardware, Operating Systems (Windows 7 through to Windows 10), Software, Networks, Server, and Print devices.
This is a client-facing role, and we are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and can provide solutions and deliver high-quality service to a key Fujitsu client within a corporate environment. You will need to be able to come on-site 5 days a week.
Offering a hybrid way of working from the office and from the comfort of your home. Our working week consists of 40 hours of work between Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 5 pm. We offer a starting competitive salary of $61,000-62,000 along with many company benefits.
About you:
You will have a minimum of at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a comparable organisation.
It is essential that you have worked within an environment dealing with large customers and government departments.
To thrive in the role, you will preferably also have:
Demonstrated level 2 and 3 technical knowledge of hardware and peripherals.
Degree or qualification relating to IT or business.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the use of incident management toolsets.
Good knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, End-Point Imaging, SOE creation and maintenance.
Good knowledge of IT infrastructure and network equipment (i.e., routers, switches, servers, virtualization, VPN, RSA, Citrix, VMware, Hyper-Converged Infrastructures).
Ability to work well within a team while fostering relationships and partnerships.
Understanding of the ITIL framework would be ideal but not a must.
Experience and/or certifications in Azure and Microsoft 365 products preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong self-drive and ability to problem solve.
Ability to follow instructions as well as work autonomously.
