This role will be clinically based within the acute stroke ward and the inpatient general rehabilitation ward at Middlemore Hospital.
This role will also have clinical leadership involvement within the community stroke rehabilitation team (CSR). Our stroke pathway Physiotherapy service spans across the acute stroke unit, inpatient general rehabilitation, and CSR teams.
Currently, we have approximately 12 Physiotherapists, including senior and core clinicians, dedicated to working across these services.

This position is responsible for providing safe and effective patient and whanau centred Physiotherapy interventions for stroke, other neurological conditions, and amputees within an interdisciplinary team setting.
The Advanced Clinician role also leads service development, quality improvement, and education. You will be professionally supported by a Section Head, other Advanced Clinicians, Professional Leader of Physiotherapy, and the Clinical Director of Allied Health.
