Mo te tunga - About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Scheduler that supports the Radiology Department.
This is ideal for someone who is a team player, has a customer-centric approach, and enjoys improving processes. You will be part of our Radiology team that is respectful, curious, and supportive, promoting development and embracing ongoing changes.
In this role, you will provide administrative support, which includes front-of-house duties, patient bookings, communication with the patients and their whanau, as well as any other general admin that is required.
You will also be involved in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for candidates who are available to work part-time (24 hours per week), working 8 hours between 07:00 am - 5:00 pm, and also have the ability to pick up extra when required.

Responsibilities include: Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner and directing them to the appropriate area. Providing administrative support to all staff within Radiology as required. Recording information accurately and maintaining the integrity of the database. Observing all Te Whatu Ora Health NZ safe work procedures and instructions. Booking outpatient appointments while considering planning, scheduling, and communicating the appointments to the patients. Being mindful of patients' needs and constraints. Managing daily workload effectively and efficiently. Managing waitlists in keeping with the MOH guidelines. Essential: Excellent customer service skills - people-focused. A team player - is flexible, and always ready to help and support colleagues. Technically savvy - quick at picking up new applications/systems. Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised. Intermediate to advanced user in the Microsoft suite of products e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel. Excellent keyboard skills. High level of written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated perceptiveness and a proactive approach in an administrator role. Desirable: Broad administrative experience in a health-related field. Knowledge of medical terminology. Familiarity with the public hospital system (including the patient management system). Awareness of people of differing cultural backgrounds.
