Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality, confidential secretarial and administrative support services. We are a strong supportive whakawhanaungatanga, (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.
The role/Te mahi
As Administrator for the Pathway and English Language Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting academic excellence at the University of Otago. Providing a range of administrative activities, including meeting support, organising travel, assisting with monthly reporting and academic timetables, you will encounter plenty of variety. This is a student-facing role, where you will need to be well organised with excellent planning and time management. You will work with a diverse team of administrators supporting services across the University and may be required to assist in other areas as needed.
This role is based in our new, state-of-the-art facility in the Otago Business School.

You have excellent administration skills, a collaborative approach, and passion for delivering high-quality customer service. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal assist in building rewarding relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Adaptable, and self-directed, you easily navigate new systems and processes whilst keeping an eye out for continuous improvement opportunities. In addition, you will have:
Previous experience in a busy administration environment.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.).
Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
An eye for details and continuous improvement focused.
The desire to learn and grow with a commitment to contributing to a positive team environment.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) position, based in Otepoti, Dunedin. The appointments range for this role is $59,285 to $63,651. Top of Range $68,744.
