Te Whanau Tupu Ngatahi o Aotearoa - Playcentre Aotearoa is a well-known and loved Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children's learning through play. Playcentre operates 400 Playcentres throughout the country.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around Xero and has some accounting knowledge to assist our Playcentres as they transition to our new operating model. You will work with Playcentres to understand their financial needs, guide them towards understanding the new Finance processes and help solve issues. Problem-solving and organisation are key in this important role with the added bonus of a fantastic team to work alongside.
Position Details: This fixed term position through to 30 September 2025 is ideally based at our National Office in central Porirua; however, applications for remote working will be considered. This role is 20-40 hours per week, to be negotiated.
Location: Preferably based in National Office, Porirua, with consideration to work from one of our Regional Offices or work from home.
Desired Skills and Experience: Experience using finance system software (Xero, Business Central)
Some accounting knowledge and experience
Organised - excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Honesty, discretion, sensitivity, self-discipline and resilience
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and computer literacy
Knowledge of, or experience within, Playcentre would be a considerable advantage.
