The Auckland Centre is home to staff from our External Engagement and Research Divisions, providing a vital University presence in the Auckland area.
The Pacific Community Engagement programme operates from this office, offering you the chance to build meaningful connections with a wide and diverse community.This exciting and varied role is self-driven, you will be looking after staff and students with a wide scope of work.
You will need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Tasks will include coordinating access and activity around the building, room and event bookings, purchasing and transactional finance tasks such as PCard coding, invoicing and reimbursements, assisting with travel arrangements, as well as a number of other general administrative tasks to ensure the building continues to run efficiently.You will have excellent administration skills, a strong customer service focus, an eye for detail, sound numeracy skills and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.You value work ethic and thrive as a professional in an environment that requires sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality.We are looking for candidates with:A passion for delivering exceptional service to a wide range of stakeholders.Experience in transactional finance tasks is beneficial.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.A self-starter attitude and a desire to continually learn and grow.Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and individually, contributing to a positive working environment.Join us if you want to be part of a team that aspires to drive exceptional service to the University and helps shape the future of higher education.Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality, confidential secretarial and administrative support services.We are a strong supportive whakawhanaungatanga, (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.This is a fixed-term (18 months), part time (22.5 hours) position, based in Auckland.You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.The appointment range for this role is $61,360 to $65,879, Top of Range $71,150.The University of Otago is a workplace that values and utilises diverse and inclusive thinking, people, and behaviours.
