Help HelpDutiesHandle incoming calls and assist with greeting visitors and employees when arriving off the ferry.Support EEO and Safety programs.Maintain central division and office files.Assist Tenant manager in collection of housing documents from tenants and maintaining check-in calendar.Use computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports, forms, and tabular material.Prepare correspondence, including letters, memoranda, work schedules, and reports from field notes or drafts.Prepare and maintain budget documents, conduct micro purchases, and record expenditures.Prepare and track payroll.Assist property coordinator to enter new property and property inventories.Prepare and receive all incoming/outgoing mail and packages.Type 40 WPM.RequirementsU.S.
Citizenship required.Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.Enrollment in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program required.Submit to a drug test and receive a negative result prior to appointment.
This position is subject to random testing.Must be able to obtain a Motorboat Operator Certification Course after entrance on duty date.May be required to operate a government or private vehicle as part of official duties.Required to live and work on the island; government housing is available.Uniform compliance with National Park Service standards is required.May be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift work.Applicants must be at least 18 years old or at least 16 years old and meet specific educational or vocational requirements.Type 40 WPM.QualificationsAll qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement unless otherwise stated.Selective Factor: This position requires proficiency in typing at 40 WPM.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following:Experience: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-04 grade level.Education: Completion of at least four years of education above high school leading to a bachelor's degree.Combination: A combination of education and experience as described above.Additional Information:Employment may be terminated at any time due to fluctuations in funding levels, project needs, employee performance, or other considerations.Physical Demands: The work is mostly sedentary.Working Conditions: The work is generally performed in an office setting.The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework with supervisor approval.Help Help
