An exciting opportunity to join a team that makes a real difference to your community!Full time position, working Monday to Friday.Located at our Service Centre in Palmerston North'Kotahi ano te kaupapa, ko te oranga o te iwi' – There is only one purpose to our work: the wellness and wellbeing of our people. The Bail Support Services has been established to ensure courts are given the best information about safe and timely bail proposals.
If granted, Bail Support Services provides the support necessary for defendants to succeed on bail. We work alongside defendants and whanau and with defence counsel and a range of community and government social service providers to prepare bail proposals and develop bail support plans for defendants.
Nga kawenga |About the role Joining us as an Administration Officer in the Bail Support Services team, you will be based in Palmerston North supporting the Bail Support Services team members across the district.
The key responsibilities of your job will cover a wide range of administrative services including;
Liaising with the organisations and services we work withProcessing filesPreparing documents for CourtPurchasing materialsRecord management and ensuring correspondence, reports and other documentation meet Department timelines and standardsProviding team support e.g. co-ordinating meetings and documentationIn this varied role you will enjoy working in a challenging and fast paced environment where your ability to multi-task and demonstrate sound judgement will be essential. You need to be adaptable when faced with the changing needs of your team whilst adhering to policies and procedures.
It is important that you highlight your experience and skills in your CV and Cover Letter. Ideally you will have demonstrated career experience that includes:
A good working knowledge of office administrationResilience when dealing with difficult situationsA pragmatic approach to problem solvingThe ability to organise effectively, be adaptable, multi-task and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills both written and verbalSound knowledge and experience with computer software and database systems including MS Word, Outlook and ExcelYou will need a Full New Zealand Driver Licence for this role.

The starting salary for this position is $55,000.Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
