About the role
The Marlborough Cancer Society is looking for an Administration Coordinator to join our team making a difference in the lives of people with cancer.
We are seeking someone on a permanent part-time (20 hours/wk). The role is based in Blenheim but covers the Marlborough area.
You will be part of a small, but passionate local team as well as an extended team of colleagues in the same role as you across our Wellington Division, who you will connect with on a regular basis.
The primary focus of the position will be to:
Provide effective administrative support to the GM and Centre team; and coordinate meetings and programs within the Centre.
Greet, assist, and support centre visitors, people with cancer and their whanau.
Work with the General Manager in crafting media releases, responding to queries and managing media relationships.
Collaborate with other organisations, and the broader Cancer Society network.
Increase awareness and use of the Cancer Society support services.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
2-3 years' relevant experience in an administrative role.
Experience managing social media platforms and programmes (i.e., Survey Monkey, Adobe InDesign, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar).
Possesses knowledge of digital communications and marketing best practices.
Experience within the health sector and/or not-for-profit sector is desirable.
Effective time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
