If you're passionate about contributing to smooth warehouse operations, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Bidfood Foodservice Christchurch as a Warehouse Administrator & Pick Packer. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our distribution centre in Islington, Christchurch. Hours of work are from 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with Saturdays off and an additional day off every two weeks.

Position Overview:
As a night shift Warehouse Administrator & Pick Packer, your primary responsibility will be to support our warehouse night shift with a variety of administrative tasks. While customer interaction will be minimal during the night shift, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations. Your duties will include handling order processing, resolving administrative issues, and supporting the warehouse team with order checks, as well as assisting with picking and packing when required.
What you will be doing?
Supporting the warehouse nightshift operation through administrative tasks such as printing consoles, keying in orders, checking the accuracy of picking, and organizing back orders.
Collaborating closely with the warehouse team to ensure order accuracy, including verifying the completion of picking orders.
Assisting with packing and picking when required.
Resolving any administrative issues and following up on customer requests or orders via email.
Ensuring that the night shift's tasks are supported and streamlined, including tracking inventory and processing any backorders.
What you need to bring to Bidfood:
Proven experience in administration or a related field, ideally in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A customer-focused approach, even in situations with limited direct interaction.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including warehouse staff, sales, and purchasing.
Additional Requirements:
You must agree to a Ministry of Justice check, an ACC pre-employment check, and will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
You must also be eligible to work in New Zealand.
