Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Activities Manager working full time to lead our activities team at Tekapo Springs, located at beautiful Lake Tekapo.
This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for developing the annual activities plan, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pools, tube park, ice rink, and summer activities.
You will ensure that our activities are safe, well-presented, and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior leadership team: to develop and deploy annual activities plan, ensuring optimised utilisation of facilities Operations Management: Ensure the seamless running of all activities, with equipment maintained to the highest standards and activities ready for customers daily .
Develop and support delivery of new activities products: ice skating lessons, team pursuits, pool activities  Team Leadership: Lead by example, aligning the team with Tekapo Springs' values and strategic goals.
Mentor supervisors, manage rosters, and ensure adequate staffing.
Ensure staff are trained, certified, and inducted properly.
Support staff growth through performance management and succession planning Customer Experience: Deliver a world-class experience to every visitor.
Health & Safety: Lead health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
Oversee hazard management and training for all activities staff.
Finance & Administration: Manage budgets, rosters, and payroll for the activities team.
Provide monthly reports and assist in budget planning.
Essential Skills and Experience: Leadership and staff management i.e.
rosters, recruitment, performance management and development Advanced skills in both summer and winter activities i.e.
competent skater and lifeguard and first aid qualified.
Aquatics background with strong understanding of pool facilities and Health & Safety legislation.
