Accreditation Manager We are looking for a respected practitioner with extensive people leadership experience An agile leader - proven skills navigating strategy and operations Wellington based preferred but we're open to other locations for the right person About the Role The Accreditation Manager is responsible for the management of a team that provides a range of accreditation services. These accreditation services determine whether social service providers are delivering safe and quality services. With the shared responsibly for driving performance and ensuring the team produces high quality work within Te Kahui Kahu. The Accreditation Manager will : Lead a team of accreditation assessors and staff to plan and deliver social services accreditation within Te Kahui Kahu Provide their team with high quality coaching support to ensure robust accreditation services are delivered Be the first point of escalation for the Assessors with the expectation that local risks / issues will be managed Operate as a single team by working with the other Accreditation Managers to plan, allocate, and manage the work Manage HR and Finance delegations and have responsibility for allocation of workload You will draw on your significant people leadership experience to ensure individuals operate as a single team, with workload allocated according to need. As such, significant is your ability to demonstrate astute leadership of individuals' teams and processes. Crucial will be your past experience driving a high-performance culture, operational deliverables and developing a workplace philosophy which creates self-directed work teams and strengths-based approaches. You will be a highly capable leader, able to read your team effectively and adapt your leadership style accordingly. Delivering on a work plan that meets operational objectives, you will take your team on the journey with you, enabling, supporting and mentoring to success. Skills and Experience We acknowledge your skill set, experience and people leadership skills will be extensive, along with your working knowledge of accreditation, assurance and / or auditing systems. And you will be seeking to join an organisation in which you will be operationally hands-on, and able to develop cohesive self-directed work teams with strong team morale and spirit. Supporting the development of the Maori and Pacific capability and responsiveness across the wider Te Kahui Kahu team, your competency and knowledge of Te Reo me ona tikanga Maori will be valued. Essential is your ability to lead and support the promotion of the Treaty of Waitangi principles and ways to involve Maori as cornerstone to the decision-making process. Your ability to operate effectively with a high level of diplomacy, remain neutral and provide unbiased, well-founded advice is a foundation to your operational capability within this position.
