About Hospice Marlborough / Te Whare Kumanu o WairauAs a team, we provide hospice and high-quality, specialist palliative care services either in our inpatient unit or in the community, to the people of Marlborough.Our vision is that our community has equitable access to specialist palliative care and that they can live and die with dignity, in comfort and peace, preferably in their place of choice.We pride ourselves on our supportive team environment and excellent working conditions.About the OpportunityPermanent Full-timeBased in Blenheim, this front-facing role involves working as part of a small administration team that supports the business operations of Hospice Marlborough.We want you to bring all your experience, skills, and personality to provide welcoming reception services to all enquirers, visitors, trades personnel, and stakeholders whilst also performing critical accounting tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide timely front line accounting tasks.Provide high-quality and sensitive reception services.Provide efficient, flexible, and responsive administrative support to Hospice Marlborough staff supporting the functions of hospice.Maintain an active role in contributing to continual quality improvement initiatives and efficiencies.About YouThe right person will have:Excellent time and desk management skills, able to prioritise multiple tasks, keep track of work in progress and meet deadlines.Be adaptable and calm with a professional attitude.Ability to relate and communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures.Ability to be discreet and diplomatic when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.Experience working with the Microsoft Suite of Products and accounting software XERO.Experience with fundraising or CRM platforms desirable.Skills to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to building the positive sense of team and the wider hospice-based culture.Able to provide evidence of:Permanent rights to work in New Zealand, with no restrictions.A current, clean full NZ Drivers Licence.Benefits we offerBe part of a professional, collaborative, and friendly Hospice Marlborough team.Work in a health care setting that provides specialist palliative care services across Marlborough.Our team is proud to be supported by Ignite Aotearoa, our employee assistance program provider.If you feel you have the experience and attributes we're looking for, please send your CV and a brief covering letter telling us why you would like to join the Hospice Marlborough team.APPLICATIONS CLOSE TUESDAY 24 DECEMBER 2024Hospice Marlborough is committed to its obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, working with local Iwi and promoting equity and inclusivity across the organisation.
