Accounts Receivable Officer

Central Hawke's Bay District Council – Waipawa, North Island Central Hawke's Bay District Council is looking for a part-time (16 hours per week) Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team.
This is a replacement role that will join our small but dedicated finance team.
The successful candidate will be motivated, well organized with strong customer services skills.
You will be a strong and reliable team member with experience working in a high performing finance team, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with a "can do" attitude and the ability to work under pressure with a smile.
About you: This is a varied position where you will be supporting both the Finance Manager and the wider team.
This role requires an agile candidate who is happy to take a hands-on approach in a high volume and fast paced environment.
Ideally you would have the following skills; Reconcile and allocate customer payments Prepare and send miscellaneous invoices or credit notes Assist in the preparation and upload of new accounts Retrieve the necessary documents to facilitate collection Experience in accounting packages Able to work with people across multiple divisions within Council, especially the wider finance group Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft products Experience in dealing with a wide range of people (including in person, over the phone, and through email correspondence) How to apply: If you think you might be the person we're looking for, apply in confidence with your CV and Cover Letter.
