The Accounts & Payroll Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the finance functions at Stabicraft Marine, as well as providing general administration and HR support as required.
You will be based in the birthplace of adventure, Stabicraft's HQ in Invercargill, surrounded by ocean views in the heart of Southland.
Responsibilities Manage and process weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Handle payday filing and PAYE returns efficiently.
Issue and process boat invoices for NZ, AU, and USA accounts.
Coordinate with banks for payment processing.
Perform bank reconciliations and manage transfers.
Process creditor transactions for NZ, AU, and USA.
Maintain confidential payroll and HR-related records.
Authorise payments through ANZ Transactive.
Execute month-end financial processes.
Reconcile credit card statements.
Provide support to the Finance and HR teams as needed.
About You Previous experience in an Accounts Administration role.
Previous experience processing payroll and knowledge of relevant legislation including the Holidays Act 2003.
High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
Good computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
Previous use of Greentree would be an advantage.
A team player with a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment.
The ability to look for better ways to do things and make suggestions for improvements and implement changes.
