Eye Institute is a leading provider of ophthalmic care and ophthalmic surgery, offering patients the latest vision correction technology, with practices located in Remuera, Manukau, Northcote, New Lynn, Hawkes Bay, Wellington and Blenheim. This is a part-time role for 24-30 hours a week, and we are seeking an enthusiastic, technically savvy, and experienced Accounts Payable Officer with great attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:
Accounts payable duties such as business banking, invoice and payment processing, staff reimbursement, and reconciliation.
Management of the accounts payable email account.
Maintain and update suppliers' records to ensure details are current and accurate.
Accruals, journal entries, and recurring templates.
Maintaining good records for supplier documents, invoices, and other payments.
Preparing analysis of accounts and producing monthly reports.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following competencies and attributes:
3+ years accounts payable experience is preferable.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise so all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and comfortable with high volumes of transactions.
Ability to pick up systems quickly – previous experience with VIP, Xero, and Dext would be advantageous.
Good mathematical skills to complete calculations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
High level problem-solving skills with a great focus on standards and compliance.
