This part-time role plays a critical role in managing our company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance while fostering an innovative workplace culture. Key Responsibilities: Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and completeness. Ensure proper coding to the corresponding accounts before processing payments. Payment Disbursements: Prepare and execute timely payment runs for approved invoices, including electronic fund transfers, checks, and other payment methods in accordance with company policies. Vendor Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors. Address their inquiries regarding invoice discrepancies, payment statuses, and account reconciliations. Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts payable ledgers, ensuring that all transactions are accurately reflected in financial records. Assist in resolving any discrepancies identified during reconciliations. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities, helping to provide insights for management decision-making. Compliance: Ensure compliance with established accounting principles (GAAP), internal controls, and company policies related to accounts payable processing. Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all payable transactions, invoices, and payment documentation. Facilitate easy retrieval for audits and financial reviews. Collaborative Projects: Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency within the accounts payable department. Participate in process automation and other innovative initiatives to enhance the role of finance in the company. Problem Solving: Conduct research to resolve discrepancies and operational issues within the accounts payable process, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role, demonstrating progressive responsibility. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of data and compliance with financial regulations.
