We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our small but fast-growing team based in our Christchurch Head Office.
This role reports to the Procurement Manager and is responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable function for the business.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Accurately process and enter invoices into the accounting system.
Schedule and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a prompt manner.
Ensure compliance with company policies and prepare regular financial reports related to accounts payable.
Maintain and regularly review the aged payables ledger to track outstanding invoices.
Prepare weekly and monthly payment batches in line with cash flow requirements.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or disputes as they arise.
Provide support to the procurement team as needed, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
Qualifications and experience:
At least 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP) or a related accounting role, with a strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes.
Proven ability to manage and execute accounts payable processes independently or in a sole charge capacity, ensuring smooth daily operations.
High accuracy and efficiency in data entry and invoice processing, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while managing a high volume of work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficient computer skills, with experience using accounting software; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is an advantage.
