About Us:
Wools of New Zealand delivers leading and innovative wool services that add value and prosperity to their clients' farming businesses and the rural communities they serve. We offer a broad range of wool brokering services delivering seamless access to local and international markets via the technical expertise of its field team and 10 wool stores across the country. We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Administrator to join our finance team and help us manage our financial operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Enter information into our systems (Greentree, Xero).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable.
Manage shareholder information through database management and communications/actions.
Prepare and maintain financial reports and statements as required.
Liaise with growers, customers, and internal departments to resolve any financial issues.
Administer the financial tasks of our new wool trading platform.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Provide administrative support and participate in projects with the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
3-5 years proven experience as an Accounts Administrator or similar role in accounting/finance.
Competent understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Sound proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness and ability to learn new systems (e.g., Greentree, etc.).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A diploma-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an advantage.
