This newly established position will be pivotal in managing the delivery of ZIWI's treasury and tax programmes across our global operations. You will also be responsible for technical accounting, managing the deliverables for the annual audit process and participate in the financial reporting process. This role also oversees accounting and tax processes for our international entities, including the China WOFE, and will contribute to tax and accounting strategies for new market expansions in conjunction with external advisors.
We are seeking a professional with outstanding communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have experience across Tax, Treasury, and Technical Accounting. However, we also welcome applicants with solid expertise in two of these areas and a strong desire to learn and expand your skills in the other discipline.
Key responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to key technical accounting projects at ZIWI.
Manage the completion of New Zealand and US income tax returns to ensure their accuracy and completeness and ensure all returns are filed in accordance with deadlines.
Work with the FP&A team and external advisors to prepare impairment models and analysis for the annual audit process.
Lead and manage ZIWI's internal and external audit processes, with support from the Group Financial Controller and other members of the financial control team, and finance operations team.
Manage cashflow forecasting and planning across the global business including foreign currency exposures, hedging strategies, minimising financial risk.
Key requirements:
A substantial and recognised tertiary qualification in accounting and finance.
Professional certification such as CA, CPA or relevant equivalent.
At least 6 years' experience in a commercially driven FMCG, Big 4 or similar business including senior management exposure.
Strong background in New Zealand and international tax including transfer pricing and/or strong financial and technical accounting experience including impairment testing and/or extensive treasury experience in a similar role.
