Our team is growing, and we're currently seeking a senior or intermediate accountant to join our Invercargill branch. The role on offer involves assisting in leading our compliance initiatives plus overseeing the production and review of complex financial statements and tax returns. Your expertise in taxation and accounting will enable our clients to make more money, pay less tax, and get ahead faster. As an intermediate/senior accountant with MMCA, you'll enjoy varied tasks and responsibilities. We're looking for someone with: Expertise in producing and reviewing compliance documents, financial statements, and tax returns. Tax knowledge is essential, while rural familiarity is advantageous. Proficiency in cloud accounting software like Xero and Figured or a strong willingness to adapt and learn. A talent for mentoring and coaching team members to foster modern accounting capabilities, as we are a training firm. Self-motivation and a drive to achieve agreed business KPIs and meet deadlines consistently, aiming for maximum efficiency and looking for ways to maximise value for clients. The successful candidate will be experienced in: Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for clients and advising on tax compliance. Providing business advice to clients on financial and operational matters. Offering guidance on financial management and budgeting. Identifying opportunities for growth and improvement for clients. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This is a full-time position based at our Invercargill office.
