About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for core accounting across the business.
Your main responsibilities include:
Maintain financial records and manage transactional accounting for multiple property portfolios.Oversee treasury and payroll functions, ensuring compliance with IRD requirements.Prepare and analyse quarterly board reports, budgets, and NZ IFRS-compliant financial statements.Ensure timely completion of GST, FBT, PAYE, and income tax returns.Lead financial projects and drive process enhancements within the finance function.So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?
This role will suit a range of people, and they can flex the role depending on experience.
Ideally, they are looking for:
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience in a commercial environment.Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and ideally NZ IFRS compliance.Comfortable with accounting packages; Xero is an advantage.Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.A strategic mindset with a drive for process improvement and problem-solving.An interest in property is a big bonus.Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.To confirm, this company prefers to be in the office 5 days a week, but it is well located in beautiful offices in the Viaduct near Fanshaw Street.
