You'll administer leases under IFRS 16, prepare seasonal budgets, and review weekly payment runs to ensure accuracy. You'll also support the Management Accountant and Commercial Finance Manager as needed, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, with travel to Australia a few times a year!Key responsibilities include;Monthly Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly reports and ensure timely tax compliance.Lease Administration: Manage over 38 leases according to IFRS 16 standards.Budget Preparation: Prepare budgets for rent, capex, and depreciation.Balance Sheet & Reconciliation: Keep the balance sheet updated, reconciling and investigating any variances.Payment Review: Check weekly payment runs for accuracy before authorisation.Statutory Compliance: Complete GST tax filings as required.Internal Controls & Team Culture: Support internal controls and contribute to a positive team culture.What You'll Bring:The ideal candidate will have completed or nearly completed their CAANZ qualification (or equivalent). A strong proficiency in Excel and an understanding of the Australian market would be advantageous. We're looking for someone with an eye for detail, effective problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to accounting issues.Qualifications and skills include;Certification: Progressing toward CA qualification (CAANZ member)Experience: Experience in high-volume, multi-currency settingsTechnical Skills: Strong Excel skills and analytical abilityAttributes: Detail-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skillsHow to apply?
