Overview About the role: This role is newly created and will report directly to the Centralised Claims Team Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in preparing and presenting their business interruption claims, acting as a vital link between them and the insurer. You'll provide expert guidance to ensure clients fully understand the technical aspects of their claims. By efficiently resolving complex claims within agreed timelines and service standards, you'll contribute significantly to our group's mission.
Ideally, you will be available to start early in 2025 and would welcome applications from candidates residing in either Auckland, Wellington, or Palmerston North.

How you'll make an impact Embody our core values and demonstrate our 'DNA' through your actions and decisions, helping clients financially survive any insurable event.Proactively reach out to clients to offer your services and highlight the benefits of our claim preparation service.Gather comprehensive information from clients to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance, facilitating conflict resolution when necessary.Coach and support Claims Managers on Business Interruption Claims as needed.Manage casework efficiently, handling calls and processing correspondence from various stakeholders regarding complex insurance claims, ensuring service standards are met.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions to achieve positive outcomes for clients.Deliver a positive customer experience by setting clear expectations, providing support throughout the process, and managing risk related to the advice given.Ensure compliance with agreed service standards and processes in a technically complex environment.Skills and Experience: A tertiary qualification in Accounting.Competent user of office software applications such as Microsoft Office.Ability to make sense of complex/technical information to inform decision making.Ability to build relationships and influence others.Ability to manage customer expectations.Experience in negotiating on behalf of others.Ability to manage a high caseload, prioritising and multi-tasking as required.About us: At Gallagher, we've been helping to protect what's important to people and businesses for more than 95 years.
