Details of the offer

Account & Relationship Management (Sales) Full time We're here for a good time and a long time!
We started Flight Coffee back in 2009 in Mum's garage, the same spot where we played the drums as kids.
These days you'll find us in slightly fancier garages in Wellington and Auckland, as well as producing coffee in countries the world over.
From our best-in-class roastery with sustainability in mind, we partner with leading cafes across New Zealand.
We select our people as carefully as we select our beans – only the best, most exceptional character profiles, outstanding examples of their kind.
What's the opportunity?
Some big things are happening at Flight, and we're after an Account Manager & Trainer to support and help drive our next growth phase.
In this role, you'll be charged with the training, retention, and growth of new and existing Flight Coffee Accounts within the Wellington region, throughout the Central North Island, and when necessary, across Aotearoa.
This role delivers the highest levels of skill development (training) and service to ultimately deliver our brand promise of coffee specialists growing the coffee business of hospitality professionals.
You'll love getting out there and creating impact for current and potential customers.
As our Account Manager, you'll be responsible for: Account Management – Retention of existing customer base, providing outstanding customer service, including cafes and supermarkets, building relationships based on knowledge and trust, and maximising opportunities for business growth.
Training – Carry out wholesale and internal training on all things coffee.
From espresso, batch brew and cupping, you will support our customer base by delivering excellence through training our customers and people how to make better coffee .
Tech Support – Coordinate tech needs with relevant departments and third-party providers, provide minor equipment servicing.
Coffee & Hospitality Skills – Educating and carrying out knowledge sharing sessions effectively, including training sessions for new and existing accounts as well as ad hoc lessons.
This isn't your average account manager role; we offer a fun and relaxed environment with endless opportunities for growth.
You will be working with awesome products and leading cafes.
You'll get to apply your upbeat personality, strong EQ, and coffee skills to contribute to team wins through exceptional coffee knowledge, products, and customer experience.
Who are we looking for?
We require an experienced coffee professional.
You might be looking to apply your deep knowledge of specialty coffee to our customers, helping them grow and using that superior knowledge to outcompete.
Or you could be a BDM or account manager looking to marry your specialty coffee knowledge with your interest in sales.
Either way, you must demonstrate: Passion and thirst for coffee knowledge and excellence; prior experience in the specialty coffee industry is a must; Exceptional technical skills both in specialty coffee and machine knowledge; Excellent after-sales service with the ability to build rapport and relationships quickly; A high level of organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills; Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels and across functions, collaborating for best results; A track record of continuous improvement, implementing innovative ideas to delight our customers; The ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously; A self-starter with strong business acumen who views growth and change as an opportunity.
We see this role evolving into our next Flight Coffee BDM in time, so we are keen to meet with candidates who have a strong drive to further a career in business development.
What we're offering: This opportunity gives you the chance to join a tight-knit team and growing business where your opportunities for growth and development are uncapped.
Your ambitions and aspirations matter to us, and we'll empower you to be your best.
With a focus on work-life balance, a company that genuinely cares about your wellbeing, and the stability of a business that continues to thrive.
Be part of a strong business with expansion plans; Join in our focus on sustainability and wellbeing; Generous discounts on coffee, coffee equipment, and at leading cafes; Access for yourself and family to our Employee Assistance Program; Excellent Training and Career Development; All expenses paid company car, phone, and laptop (within reason).
