The purpose of the Account Manager, Merchant Partnerships ANZ is to enable sales teams and our merchants partners across NZ with content, tools and guides to support merchant acquisition, onboarding and growth initiatives across VM & Education, Partnerships, and Events. Delivering market presence across our merchant base & ensuring best practice execution of Visual Merchandising across all Afterpay NZ shopfronts. Looking for continuous improvements to maximise engagement and results with Afterpay.
Key SkillsExecution: Proficiency in implementing and maintaining visual standards across different locations and shopfronts.Market Trends Awareness: Understanding of current visual merchandising trends and the ability to apply them effectively in various settings.Analytical Skills: Ability to assess the effectiveness of visual merchandising efforts and identify areas for improvement based on sales and engagement data.Innovation Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement in visual merchandising and partnerships.Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt strategies based on market changes, partner needs, and emerging trends.Problem-Solving/Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to visual merchandising or partner relationships promptly.Feedback Management: Ability to gather, analyze, and act on feedback from partners and merchants to drive continuous improvement.Partnership Management:Relationship Building: Strong skills in developing and maintaining positive relationships with merchant partners and other stakeholders.Negotiation: Ability to negotiate terms and agreements that benefit both the company and its partners.Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.Collaboration: Experience working closely with sales teams, merchants, and other partners to achieve common goals.Planning and Execution: Experience in planning and executing events, promotions, or other initiatives.Training Abilities:Presentation Skills: Experience in developing and delivering training programs to educate merchants on Afterpay & best practices.Resource Creation: Ability to create resources that help merchants effectively implement visual merchandising strategies.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders to successfully deliver APAC Visual Merchandising strategies.Support Sales team by drawing from our VM toolkit to make autonomous decisions/recommendations on the right VM assets for our NZ merchants.Deliver faster to market VM assets and best practice installation.Manage the ANZ onboarding program, reporting & distribution.Implement creative ways to improve our merchant relationships, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions.Manage the relationship with our NZ printhouse, supervise and quality check the production of VM assets.Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for NZ events, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and decor under the guidance of the ANZ senior manager.Provide on-site support during events, including setup, coordination of participants, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.Manage event timelines with vendors/partners and schedules to ensure deadlines are adhered to.Support wider ANZ event calendar and operations.Deliver Afterpay's merchant training offering; create content and resources for our frontline teams to build on their knowledge base.Develop resources to support omni merchants from the point of engagement, onboarding and growth.Partner with Sale leads to ensure our EDU program supports strategic merchants to drive advocacy on the shop floor.Act as an outward-facing ambassador of Afterpay, facilitating virtual and in-person workshops and group sessions, as well as train-the-trainer sessions.QualificationsExperience: Dedicated sales professional with 3+ years of experience utilizing interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.3+ years experience in developing creative and engaging visual merchandising & educational tools and guides.Proven ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally to achieve outcomes.Skilled in presenting and facilitating sessions both virtually and in-person.Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.Strong business understanding and acumen.Even Better: Proficient in Google Office suite & Adobe Creative Cloud.Experience developing and implementing learning programs through Rise 360.Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.Experience hosting events & attending merchant-facing conferences.Travel Requirements:This role necessitates frequent travel, including international trips, to ensure effective coordination and management. Candidates should be ready and comfortable with a significant amount of travel, as it is a critical aspect of successfully fulfilling the responsibilities of this position. Minimum travel: International & domestic pending business requirements.
