The role: Being an Account Manager with us offers a great blend of business development and account management.
You will be supported by the wider team to succeed and be given the autonomy to use your initiative to develop your own pipeline and build ongoing customer relations.
Full-time, permanent position with immediate start.
Competitive earning potential with target-based sales incentive Opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking business The job: Most of your time will be spent prospecting your network to target a wide variety of different-sized clients across the Wellington region.
You will: Spend time with inherited portfolio of warm accounts to manage and grow Keep an active call cycle to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
Negotiate and close sales, exceeding targets.
Ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses against sales target.
Prospect new clients and convert them into loyal customers through visits and calls.
Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable solutions.
Work closely with our Procurement and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends, customer and supplier needs The person: As you will be playing a lead role in capturing sales opportunities, your passion for building rapport and long-lasting customer relationships is crucial.
Lead generation and business development are key elements of the role so your strong network of contacts will be advantageous.
A tertiary qualification is desirable You will: Be a confident and effective communicator Have relevant trade/hospitality experience.
Possess proven sales experience Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Have knowledge of Salesforce which is advantageous.
Have the problem-solving skills employing a solutions-focused approach to partner with our clients and grow with them.
Possess knowledge of the food service industry (which is a plus).
Be Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Be target-driven with a commitment to teamwork.
