The Team
The commercial team are at the heart of what we do. As a contract manufacturer the commercial team manage the customer relationships, contract volumes and promote the business offering. From building effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, to managing new product introductions and problem solving; the commercial team have a strong understanding of the business capabilities and play to our strengths.

The Role
The Account Manager is more than just sales. Building strong and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; the Account Manager represents our business to the customers in a changeable environment. Managing specific accounts to ensure customer confidence in the capability of the KDC/One Swallowfield offering, either with regular communications; or hosting customer visits and attending customer site visits. With a focus on managing customer orders and product launches to ensure on time and in full ordering through close effective relationships with the Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management and planning teams.

What does a typical day look like?

You will use your strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships; internally and externally.
You will use your organisational skills to prioritise and manage and identify customer needs and effectively manage deadlines.
You will use your IT skills to effectively enter and monitor budget vs forecast, volumes and margin under the guidance of senior commercial team to maximise profitability.
You will use your negotiation and stakeholder management skills to facilitate pricing and negotiation of products and new business development.

Excellent interpersonal skills: relationship building / key stakeholder management, etc.
Experience working with CRM/ SRP/ PPMS systems (SAP, etc).
Analytical with good problem solving skills.
Intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc)/MS Office.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
Strong negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholder management.
Ability to accurately problem solve and identify workable solutions to issues.
