We are looking for a highly driven account manager to help us continue our impressive growth and maintain our position as the market leader in driver health. This is an exciting opportunity with genuine prospects for advancement. You will be responsible for managing key accounts including some of the UK's largest businesses from across the transport sector. Your role will be to maintain strong relationships with customers through regular calls and site visits, identifying opportunities to develop these relationships by promoting our range of solutions and resolving customer issues to maintain a high level of customer retention. You will also be responsible for increasing key account revenue by up-selling and cross-selling our associated services.
Role Purpose:
Manage and develop customer relationships
Monitor and report customer and competitor activity
Manage communication with key internal stakeholders – Marketing, Sales and Operations
Network with customers and decision makers
Increase profitability of existing customer relationships
Roles and responsibilities:
Maintain regular contact with key account customers and identify new business opportunities
Arrange and attend meetings with our customers across the UK via phone, teams and in person
Take ownership of key business customer relationships and ensure customers receive the highest levels of service
Support with promotional and new product/service campaigns
Manage and improve the customer onboarding process
Identify opportunities to develop and expand customer relationships including upsell and cross-sell additional services and packages
Support the finance team to reduce aged debt and resolve billing queries
Create and maintain accurate customer records using a CRM system (Zoho)
Gather and analyse data to produce insights to support with sales campaign planning
Participate in outbound sales campaigns to support the sales team
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on customer spends and activity
Resolve or escalate customer queries quickly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer retention
Provide presentations and/or demos to prospective customers
Attend events and industry exhibitions to promote company services and increase sales
Ensure all contractual SLA's and expectations are met and implement process improvements where required
Work closely with and support the sales and marketing teams to achieve or exceed KPI's and business objectives
(You will be given access to a company vehicle when attending customer sites.)
Requirements and skills:
At least two years' experience in account manager role
Proven ability to meet and exceed KPI's
Excellent knowledge of MS office including Excel
Previous experience of using CRM software (experience of Zoho would be ideal)
Personable and able to build rapport quickly
Strong problem-solving skills
Dynamic approach - able to manage a busy and varied workload
Full UK driving license
