The Role We are looking for a motivated and proactive Account Manager to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing, this role is perfect for someone with experience in account management or a related field who is eager to take charge of a portfolio of valued clients.
Your primary responsibilities will include supporting and retaining existing relationships, identifying opportunities to upsell additional services, and ensuring our customers receive the best service in the industry.
This is not a purely desk-based role.
Our clients deserve to communicate in a style that suits them.
To enable this, you will be supporting them through emails, phone queries, face-to-face meetings, and check-ins.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing and supporting an established portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met with a focus on long-term retention.
Promoting and selling HSM's full suite of services, including Monitoring, Guarding, Security Installations, Fire Protection, and Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF)/Compliance.
Identifying opportunities to grow revenue by offering additional services that align with client needs.
Serving as the primary point of contact for your accounts, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying solutions and opportunities.
Organising meetings, presentations, and networking events to engage with clients and explore new business prospects.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and a high level of client satisfaction.
Keeping detailed records of client interactions and preparing regular reports on account performance and growth opportunities.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in account management or a client-facing role, preferably within the trade, property management, or building industries.
Knowledge of fire and security systems is advantageous but not essential.
Proficiency in using CRM tools (such as HubSpot) to manage customer information, track activities, and generate reports.
Location The position is based in our Hastings office, serving the wider Hawke's Bay region and throughout New Zealand if a significant opportunity arises.
Hours of Work This is a full-time role with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.
