We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join us as an Account Manager. This role is perfect for someone with a proven record of accomplishment in driving new revenue within their territory, coupled with exceptional relationship management skills. The role As an Account Manager / Sales Development Executive at Smartly, you'll be pivotal in building trust, fostering loyalty, and driving new sales from businesses and partners who currently lack a relationship with Smartly or exhibit low engagement. Your focus will be on identifying these potential opportunities, establishing strong connections, and effectively communicating the value proposition of partnering with Smartly. Leveraging your expertise in relationship building and sales strategies, you'll play a crucial role in expanding our client base and establishing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. Ideally the role would be based outside of the greater Auckland region. There will be a mixture of working from home, local face-to-face meetings, and travel required for this role. Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities within your assigned territory, leveraging our existing network and conducting targeted outreach. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, referral partners, and franchisors, to understand their needs and effectively position Smartly's solutions. Collaborate closely with internal teams to tailor our offerings to meet the specific needs of clients and prospects. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on how Smartly can address their pain points and add value to their business. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits of partnering with Smartly. Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activity to identify potential threats and opportunities for growth. What we are looking for: Essential Skills and Experience Proven record of accomplishment of success in driving new revenue and exceeding sales targets. Experience working with payroll, accounting, or finance industries is preferred but not essential. Exceptional relationship management and communication skills. Self-driven and results-oriented with a keen sense of initiative. Experienced negotiator and strong influencing skills. Experience using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to track and report on activity and sales pipeline results.
