Proud to be a NZ owned and operated company, PSP has grown significantly since inception in 1984 to carry a wide range of products that are marketed under three distinct brands: Sign & Display Building Solutions Translucent Roofing About the Role: We are seeking an individual with knowledge of the building (residential/commercial) & builders merchant markets to identify and target new and existing business with our wide range of products.
What you will be doing: Identifying and engaging with potential customers through various channels such as cold calling, referrals, networking events, and online platforms.
Qualifying leads based on their needs, budget, and interest level.
Conducting effective sales presentations and demonstrations to potential customers, highlighting the features, benefits, and value proposition of our products or services.
Understanding customer needs and tailoring solutions to meet their requirements.
Organising and attending trade events when required.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Conducting regular follow-ups with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
Providing ongoing support, guidance, and product updates to customers.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements: Experience in sales (preferable within the building industry).
Established business relationships ideally in the builder's merchant channel.
Proven capability to cold call.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation and organisational skills.
Personal integrity.
Ability to work autonomously.
Ability to travel.
A high level of technical and building knowledge.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Ability to confidently discuss/present installation methods and guides with builders and builder's merchants.
Ability to identify and optimise new and existing business opportunities for growth in line with company strategic plan.
Ability to work on multiple projects which will include effective prioritisation and the timely completion of deadlines.
Organising and attending Architectural, Building/Construction Trade Events when required.
To be able to work autonomously and as part of the national team.
