About this opportunity The role of an Account Manager is a senior position within the sales team. You will be responsible for both directly and indirectly managing a specified customer base and are accountable for delivering new volume, new concepts, and new markets to the business. The customer base in question comes from the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) market and primarily consists of corporate customers. Some travel will be required. Sales experience is critical, and although the specific industries and markets from which that experience has been gained are less critical, having experience in managing corporate customers in the FMCG field and coming from a technical background would be highly advantageous. Your key responsibilities will be to: Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Delivering new volume, new concepts, and new markets to the business. Quarterly Business Reviews. Maximise volume opportunities from existing customers. Manage product development opportunities both within the existing base and through new markets and new customers. Price Index management and management of other pricing strategies and actions as directed. Actively contribute to company and team culture and support company and team values. Build profitable recycle offerings and subsequent markets. Contribute to the generation of the annual strategic plan. Your skills and experience Minimum of 5 years sales experience. Good financial skills (pricing, variable costs, gross margins). Experience managing large corporate accounts. Technical knowledge of industry (background in packaging or FMCG advantageous). Contract negotiating and pricing strategies. Successful conversion of new business. Strong customer relationship building. Exceptional communication skills.
